Samini Elected as GIMPA SRC President
Emmanuel Andrew Samini, a legend of Ghanaian reggae-dancehall, has requested assistance from the GIMPA student body as he serves as the president of the Students Representative Council (SRC).
Popularly known as Samini in the Ghanaian music industry and elsewhere, he took the oaths of office and allegiance at the Institute’s Green Hill Campus before being sworn in as the SRC President alongside four other women.

He committed to concentrating on the “students’ community and tackling the essential issues affecting them” after years of not only creating lovely music but also spotting and developing potential.
“I would lead an SRC that is accountable and responsible, an SRC that cares about its members, unites the group, and works for them. And with them, you should have confidence in Samini to deliver, he continued.
He claimed that when student needs changed, his administration would be sensitive to the many issues raised and work with the proper departments to ensure that they were resolved as effectively as possible.
In February 2020, the Institute welcomed the reggae-dancehall superstar as a new undergraduate Project Management student.
He stated that the knowledge and abilities he had gained, together with the honor of serving as SRC President, had pushed him to further his academic success and musical career.
Samini stated knowledge acquisition was essential for the expansion and development of the entertainment sector in an interview with the GNA Entertainment.
“More informed entertainers, for example, can assist avoid many copy rights and intellectual property-related problems. As an artist or other creative person, you become more aware of the value of your work the more you open your mind, he claimed.
