My crush is Kuami Eugene - Afua Asantewaa

In an interview spotted by GHANASONGS.COM, Afua Asantewaa stated her appreciation for Kuami Eugene’s musical ability.

Afua, who recently made an effort to shatter the record for the longest singing marathon, said to IB Ben Bako that she sang a few of the highlife musician’s songs during her sing-a-thon attempt since she loves him so much.

She told IB, “Kuami Eugene is my crush oo.”

She recalled that she could not even recall parts of her songs at the mere sight of the Rockstar when Kuami Eugene paid her a visit during her sing-a-thon performance at the Akwaaba Village.

“I said I couldn’t remember my lyrics when that guy came.” “This guy has worried me,” I remarked. She joked, “If the Guinness people don’t give me the record, it’s Kuami Eugene.”

Afua went on to say that her spouse is aware of her affection for Kuami Eugene.

“My spouse is aware. I told him, “Kuami, you have worried me,” when he arrived. You weren’t supposed to arrive. Asuoden is the song I sang, and you know his rap follows. I did everything I couldn’t recall as I stood there,” she said.

At an event conducted in Accra’s Akwaaba Village, event planner and media personality Afua Asantewaa, a Ghanaian, recently set out to break the record for the longest singing marathon for one individual by holding the record.

She broke the 105-hour record established by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare in 2012 by enduring a five-day singing marathon that began at midnight on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She concluded on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 7:00 a.m.

Her record attempt lasted five days, six hours, 55 minutes, and three (3) seconds until it was called off on Friday morning. She made the decision to perform exclusively Ghanaian music in order to support it.

Many prominent figures and celebrities attended her event, including Adina, Sista Efya, Wendy Shay, Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene, Stonebwoy, Kwabena Kwabena, Shatta Wale, Samini, Lydia Forson, and Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin.

Afua submitted the complete work to Guinness World Records for evaluation, and she is currently awaiting the results of her endeavor from them.
